The Seoul Women's and Family Foundation signed a business agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Nursing Association.

The Seoul Women and Family Foundation (Director Park Jeong-sook) announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Seoul Metropolitan City Nursing Association (Chairperson Park Jeong-seon) on December 4 to protect children's health rights and promote gender equality in the health and nursing sectors.

Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to cooperate in various areas, including ▲joint planning and operation of child health and development education courses for child care workers, ▲sharing of expert advice and cases related to child health and development monitoring, ▲development and provision of educational content from a gender equality perspective in the health and nursing fields, and ▲support for gender sensitivity training for nurses and care workers.

According to the agreement, the Seoul Women and Family Foundation will support the protection of children's health rights and the spread of a gender-equal organizational culture based on policy, research, and consulting data, while the Seoul Metropolitan Nursing Association plans to expand practical contributions such as child health and development consulting, education operation, and field support by utilizing its medical and health expertise.

The two organizations will discuss specific tasks, including systematic health support for homes and private daycare centers, supplementing sex education from a medical perspective, human rights education for nurses, and supporting linkages with medical institutions. They plan to establish a safe and reliable child and youth support system and spread a gender-equal organizational culture in the health and nursing fields.

Park Jeong-sook, head of the Seoul Women and Family Foundation, said, “Protecting children’s right to health and creating an environment that respects health and nursing professionals are the basic foundations of society,” and added, “I hope that this agreement will create real change by combining the expertise of both organizations and become the foundation for providing safe health and care services to citizens.”
