Chabot Mobility Signs Strategic MOU with iFA

Chabot Mobility (CEO Kang Sung-geun) announced on the 4th that it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with iFA, a large-scale InsurTech-based corporate insurance agency (GA), and will pursue the next-generation mobility insurance business.

This agreement aims to build a mobility insurance ecosystem encompassing the entire automotive life cycle by combining the data and insurance and financial operations of both companies. Chabot Mobility plans to jointly develop customized insurance products with iFA, leveraging accumulated customer data, including vehicle information, driver data, and maintenance history. This will enable the company to launch private insurance products that go beyond the existing comparative quote-based insurance structure.

Joint marketing efforts combining vehicle and insurance services will also be launched. The two companies plan to expand customer touchpoints through webinars, seminars, and content creation, and jointly design lead acquisition and conversion strategies to strengthen their presence in the mobility-based insurance market.

The collaboration also includes establishing a digital-based, one-stop service that integrates the entire process—from insurance subscription and renewal to accident reporting, repairs, and replacement vehicles—into a single flow. The goal is to provide a mobility insurance experience encompassing the entire vehicle lifecycle. Strategic joint projects, including direct insurance product sales, new product launches, and enhancing the competitiveness of insurance within the platform, will also be pursued on an ongoing basis.

Kang Sung-geun, CEO of Chabot Mobility, said, “iFA’s financial expertise combined with Chabot’s data and operational know-how will enable innovation in customer experience and structural change in the industry.” He added, “We will evolve into a total financial platform that takes responsibility for customers’ entire mobility life.”
