Content AI solution company 4BY4 (CEO Jun-ho Yoon) announced on the 3rd that it has signed a partnership agreement with Japanese listed company Restar Corporation for the rights to sell and distribute AI solution products in Japan.
Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, Resta is a publicly traded company with annual sales of approximately 5 trillion won. Its business spans the entire IT equipment industry, including semiconductor and electronic component distribution, energy technology, video and audio equipment, and information and communication system design and operation. It also operates in content production and media solutions.
Through this agreement, Resta will be responsible for selling and distributing Fourbyfour's image quality improvement AI solution, "Pixel," throughout Japan. Leveraging Resta's network of broadcasters, production companies, OTT and FAST channels, and the public DX industry, Resta plans to expand business opportunities across diverse application areas.
The two companies operated a joint booth at the broadcasting and media equipment exhibition 'Interbee 2025' held in Japan last month, introducing the new real-time picture quality improvement product 'AI Pixel Stream' and conducting marketing activities targeting local buyers.
Bae Seong-wan, head of the PobyPo Solution Business Division, said, “We are jointly conducting technology verification and follow-up meetings with several Japanese clients with Resta,” and “We plan to expand the growing demand for AI-based video remastering, upscaling, and archive quality enhancement in the Japanese market through Resta’s sales capabilities and network.”
Resta stated, “There is a growing demand for improved archive content quality from broadcasters and OTTs,” and added, “As a professional partner, we will strengthen our support to ensure that ForbyFor and Pixel can effectively enter the Japanese market.”
