Secondhand transaction platform Joonggonara (CEO Choi In-wook) announced on the 2nd that it received an institutional award from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) for its contribution to establishing standards for resolving disputes in secondhand transactions and protecting user rights at the 'Person-to-Person (C2C) Secondhand Transaction Public-Private Council Performance Sharing Meeting' held at the Yangjae L Tower in Seoul on the 28th of last month.
This performance sharing session was attended by relevant organizations such as the Fair Trade Commission, the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Korea Consumer Agency, and the Electronic Commerce Dispute Mediation Committee under KISA, as well as major second-hand transaction platforms, who shared the results of dispute mediation and discussed future directions for system improvement.
Following last year's award from the Korea Consumer Agency, Joonggonara received an award from the KISA President this year, recognizing its continued efforts to create a safe environment for second-hand transactions and protect users.
In particular, Junggonara has prioritized strengthening transaction reliability this year. Starting in the second half of the year, it has implemented the "Safety Guarantee Project," which focuses on basic secure payment, enhanced seller authentication, and a secure compensation system. This includes enhancing various safety measures. Recently, it has also introduced the "App Safety Transition Policy," which integrates the entire transaction process, from product registration to payment and delivery, into an app to prevent user harm and ensure transaction security.
Joonggonara CEO Choi In-wook stated, “As the leading platform that opened the door to the domestic secondhand trading market, we will take the lead in creating a peer-to-peer trading environment where everyone can feel safe and satisfied.”
