
Gyeonggi Content Agency (President Yong-Seok Tak, hereinafter referred to as Gyeonggi Content Agency) announced that it successfully held the ‘Gyeonggi Northern Region Industrial Development Strategy Workshop’ at Uijeongbu Island Castle from the 20th to the 21st.
About 160 people, including representatives from Gyeonggi Province, nine cities and counties in northern Gyeonggi Province, nine related organizations, seven universities in northern Gyeonggi Province, and startups, participated in this event and discussed ways to establish a 'One-Team' system for the development of the northern Gyeonggi Province region.
The workshop was designed as a collaborative forum, eliminating institutional barriers and fostering practical business collaboration. Participants learned about the Gyeonggi Northern Special Self-Governing Province Promotion Team's regional revitalization strategy and discussed specific implementation plans to strengthen industrial competitiveness.
At the event, Gyeonggi-do Economic and Science Promotion Agency (GESA), Gyeonggi Daejin Technopark, and Gyeonggi-do Economic and Science Promotion Agency (GESA) proposed sustainable collaborative projects, including joint research, forums, and training, and promoted their realization through follow-up discussions. During the event, GESA, the GESA, and Gyeonggi Daejin Technopark signed an agreement, discussing various areas including joint research and planning to foster strategic industries in northern Gyeonggi Province, the development of inter-industry convergence and open innovation models, and cooperation in operating a "Gyeonggi-do Northern One-Stop Public Support Joint Office" to address corporate challenges.
A Gyeonggi Province official stated, "This event will serve as a catalyst for strengthening the public support system in northern Gyeonggi Province and expanding the regional industrial base." Gyeonggi Province President Tak Yong-seok emphasized, "This workshop marks the starting point for a shift from 'cooperation to collaboration,' evolving into an organic structure where the strengths of each organization are aligned."
Meanwhile, Gyeongconjin is considering a support project for next year that will directly match content production companies with demand companies in the northern region. Through this project, it plans to discover specialized content projects in the northern region and strengthen the industrial base.
