Smart farm specialist Green Plus announced on the 20th that it has secured a new contract for a 2.9 billion won youth smart farm greenhouse in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The greenhouse, measuring 2,587 pyeong (approximately 8,800 sq ft), will be a state-of-the-art glass greenhouse designed for tomato cultivation.
Green Plus' current order backlog is approximately 71.3 billion won.
This project aligns with the government and local governments' push to expand smart farms to support the establishment of young farmers. The government is expanding its financial and technical support package, including low-interest agricultural policy funds, smart farm facility modernization, and funding for young farmers' startups. Consequently, public procurement from local governments across the country is increasing, and Green Plus is responding reliably to this growing demand, leveraging its technological competitiveness and construction experience.
A Green Plus official stated, “With the government strengthening its policy to foster smart agriculture, the speed and scale of smart farm adoption, especially among young farmers, is expanding,” and “Based on the order backlog that has increased to 71.3 billion won, we plan to accelerate performance growth, including strong sales and improved profitability.”
