Himpel (CEO Kim Jeong-hwan), a ventilation appliance specialist, announced on the 20th that it had been selected for excellent design in two categories at the '2025 Good Design Awards' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP). In the packaging design category, it received the Korea Institute of Design Promotion President's Award (Bronze).
Launched in 1985, the Good Design Awards are Korea's most prestigious design certification system. They comprehensively evaluate products' appearance, usability, technicality, and aesthetics to select outstanding designs. The GD Mark, the official certification mark of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, symbolizes the reliability of innovative design products.
The products selected this time are the 'Hugent Lumi (ZP)' composite ventilation fan and 'Ventilation Solution Product Package Design', two in total. The Hugent Lumi (ZP) creates a bathroom atmosphere with time-based LED lighting, a soft cream-white panel, and metallic accents. It also emphasizes the harmony of function and design with its warm air, ventilation, dehumidification, and drying functions, constant air volume ventilation technology, and washable pre-filter.
The packaging design for our ventilation solutions products minimizes resource use by utilizing uncoated kraft paper, single-color silkscreen printing, and tape made from the same material. The A-shaped box and product outline pad simultaneously prevent shaking during transport and serve as an installation guide, enhancing ease of use.
A Himpel representative stated, “The selected products and package designs were designed to reinterpret bathroom spaces while taking into account consumer experience and emotion, and to convey the value of a ‘breathing home.’ We will continue to develop products and designs that reflect users’ living experiences.”
