Aidro attracts 10 billion won in investment

Aedro Co., Ltd. (CEO Seunghyun Yoon), a mobility aerotech company, announced on the 18th that it has completed a Series B funding round totaling 10 billion won. This round was participated by Stonebridge Ventures, K2 Investment, BonAngels Venture Partners, Korea Investment Partners, and Bridge Investment. The investment will be used for new product development, overseas business expansion, and the development of an AI-based aerodynamic design solution (AOX).

Aedro is an aerodynamics company founded in 2020 that develops and sells over 230 body kits for 12 brands including Tesla, BMW, Toyota, and Porsche. It also contributes to improving the fuel efficiency of electric vehicles by reducing air resistance and increasing downforce.

Aidro is developing an AI-based aerodynamic simulation solution, "AOX (Aerodynamic Optimization eXperience). AOX offers simulation speeds dozens of times faster than existing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technologies, provides a coding-free environment for designers to directly utilize, and allows them to view the results of vehicle shape changes within minutes.

CEO Seunghyun Yoon said, “The competitiveness of the automobile industry lies in energy efficiency and design,” and added, “Through AOX, we will present new solutions for the transportation industry and realize a vision for a new vehicle that combines hardware and software.”

Lee Jong-hyun, managing director of Stonebridge Ventures, said, “Aidro is a rare company that commercializes aerodynamic technology through both hardware and software, and has the technological competitiveness to improve both driving performance and energy efficiency in the era of global electric vehicles.”
