(CEO Woojin Hyung) announced on the 12th that it has been selected as a company to participate in the overseas joint exhibition hall of the YONSEI Global Innovative Medical Technology Demonstration Support Center and will participate in 'MEDICA 2025' (hereinafter 'MEDICA'), the world's largest medical device exhibition to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany from the 17th to the 20th.
At this exhibition, Hutom will showcase its technological prowess, centering on its AI-based lung resection assistance solution, "RUS Lung." RUS Lung reconstructs chest computed tomography (CT) images into 3D to visualize the anatomical structure of the lungs (lobes, bronchi, blood vessels, etc.). This AI-based medical solution supports preoperative surgical planning and intraoperative navigation during lung resections.
At MEDICA, the 3D visualization capabilities of "RUS Lung" and actual clinical applications will be demonstrated. Through this demonstration, Hutom plans to showcase its technological capabilities in enhancing the precision and safety of lung cancer surgery and highlight the competitiveness of its AI surgical support solutions in the global market.
Hyungwoo Jin, CEO of Hutom, said, “RUS Lung is an innovative AI solution that helps medical staff accurately understand the anatomical structure before lung resection and establish the optimal surgical strategy.” He added, “Through this participation in MEDICA, we will promote our technology to the global market and expand opportunities for cooperation with overseas medical institutions and companies.”
