Good People Signs Business Agreement with Artformy and Dabkok

Good People (Chairman Yong-ki Lee) announced on the 10th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Art For Me Art Therapy Education Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as Art For Me) and the Drug and Addiction Prevention Center for Universities (hereinafter referred to as Dabkok) on the 7th to promote ‘addiction prevention education’ for children and adolescents.

The signing ceremony was held at the Good People building in Mapo-gu, Seoul, and was attended by Good People Chairman Lee Yong-gi, Art For Me Research Institute Director Yumi, and Dapkok Secretary General Park Sang-gyu.

Recently, addictions among children and adolescents, including gaming and smartphone addiction, as well as gambling and drug addiction, have emerged as a growing social issue. In response, Good People has partnered with ArtforMe, an organization specializing in emotional recovery and psychological support, and Dabkok, which runs addiction prevention campaigns for youth, to develop practical prevention education.

This addiction prevention training will be based on the "Integrated Addiction Prevention Workbook," jointly developed by Good People and Artforme. The training will be delivered over four sessions, visiting middle schools nationwide, including Ulsan Cheongnyang Middle School and Daegu Singi Middle School, by the end of the year.

The Integrated Addiction Prevention Workbook includes core content related to addiction in children and adolescents, such as understanding addiction and addiction screening information, and also includes emotional expression and self-awareness training through art activities.

Artformy Yumi Research Institute Director explained, “The workbook, which allows for emotional expression and exploration of recovery through art activities, can be used in a variety of ways not only in schools but also at home.”

“Through this program, we will help young people recognize risks on their own and develop a healthy sense of self,” said Park Sang-gyu, Secretary General of the Dapkok Foundation.

Good People Chairman Lee Yong-gi said, “It is meaningful to develop practical addiction prevention education content through cooperation between specialized organizations and connect it to on-site education,” and added, “We will continue to cooperate in various fields such as education, welfare, and psychological support to ensure the healthy growth of children and adolescents.”
