New Paradigm Investment (Co-CEOs Sang-Seung Bae and Je-Hyeon Park) announced on the 10th that it had made a seed investment in Baby Bear Company (CEO Shin-Hyeon Kang), which operates the AI-based infant and toddler book information and commerce platform ‘Baby Bear Book Parenting.’
Founded in September 2024, Baby Bear Company operates "Baby Bear Book Parenting," Korea's first book-based parenting platform that integrates data-driven AI book curation, commerce, and community functions. The platform recommends books optimized for a child's developmental stage and the parent's parenting situation, and offers services that connect post-purchase experiences, including audio streaming, reading records, and community activities.
This investment is a result of the high evaluation of the growth potential and profitability of Babygom Company's overall business, including its AI-based infant and toddler metadata construction technology, personalized book recommendation service, direct transaction network with publishers, and user lock-in structure, along with the growth of the premium kids' content market.
Baby Bear Company utilizes an AI-based personalized book curation engine to recommend books appropriate for each child's developmental stage, integrating post-reading features and community experiences into a single mobile platform. This has created a trust-based, virtuous cycle of book discovery, purchase, use, and repurchase. As of October 2025, Baby Bear Company has accumulated 70,000 subscribers. It plans to expand into a personalized AI concierge service for infants and toddlers.
Park Jae-hyun, co-CEO of New Paradigm Investment, said, “Agigom Company is solving real-life problems faced by parents through technology,” and “Based on its high purchase conversion rate and data competitiveness, it is quickly establishing a unique position in the infant/toddler book parenting platform market, which is why we decided to make this investment.”
Kang Shin-hyun, CEO of Baby Bear Company, said, “With this investment, we will support more parents to easily and enjoyably continue ‘book parenting.’ Starting in 2026, we plan to launch B2C and B2B subscription services and expand adjacent categories based on platform data.”
