Robotics company Brils announced on the 6th that CEO Jeon Jin received a commendation from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy at the "2025 Robot Industry Development Awards Ceremony" held on the 5th. The ceremony took place on stage at the 2025 RoboWorld event held at KINTEX in Ilsan.
The Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy's Award recognizes individuals who have contributed to the advancement of the robotics industry. CEO Jeon Jin was recognized for his contributions to Brils's operations, core technology development, localization of components, and creation of new markets. Brils was recognized for its contributions to manufacturing automation and strengthening industrial competitiveness.
Former CEO Jeon achieved ultra-high repeatability of ±0.1mm through "complex coordinate system-based precision control technology," and improved the automation of irregular processes with "multi-object recognition and picking algorithms." He also developed an "AI safety control solution" utilizing 3D skeleton data, reducing the risk of worker accidents by approximately 65%. This solution was also selected as a government demonstration project.
CEO Jeon Jin said, “This award is the result of the hard work and technological innovation of Brils executives and employees,” and added, “We will continue to work to enhance the competitiveness of the domestic manufacturing industry and strengthen the status of K-Robots in the global market.”
