BigWave Holds Open Innovation Startup IR Event

Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Lee Han-seop) announced on the 23rd that they held an investor relations (IR) meeting to announce the investment attraction business plans of startups eligible for support in the second half of 2025 at COEX in Seoul, through the investment attraction platform 'BIIG WAVE'.

This event, organized in collaboration with the Incheon Center and major corporate partners KT, Korean Air, Kakao Mobility, and Hansol PNS, was designed to support investment attraction for startups with proven technological prowess and business viability. The presentation focused on providing investors with practical investment opportunities.

The five startups selected for support in the second half of the year are Applause, which developed a space-customized content curation solution; AI Poppet, which provides an AI-based pet health check service; Augmented Intelligence, which promotes AI digital innovation in aviation manuals; DVD Lab, which provides innovative research solutions; and Intelliz, which possesses machine vision technology for production line defect inspection.

The event was attended by approximately 100 people including venture capitalists (VCs), accelerators (ACs), investors, large corporations, and related organizations, adding to the lively atmosphere.

BigWave, now in its fifth year, offers a variety of programs to selected startups, including corporate assessments, pitching training, investor meetings, and investor relations strategy support, to help them grow through investment attraction. Despite the recent downturn in the investment market, BigWave continues to collaborate with investors from the initial selection stage, strengthening global connections and achieving tangible investment results.

Lee Han-seop, CEO of the Incheon Center, said, “Big Wave’s role is becoming more important amidst the changing global investment environment and the difficulties in the domestic investment market,” and added, “We will do our best to support the selected startups so that they can create success stories.”
