The Center for Comprehensive Support for Enterprises with Disabilities is recruiting companies to participate in the "Project to Improve the Business Environment for Small Business Owners with Disabilities."

The Center for Comprehensive Support for Enterprises for the Disabled (Chairman Park Maru) announced on the 2nd that it is recruiting participating companies for the 'Business Environment Improvement Project for Small Business Owners with Disabilities', which is being promoted based on donations from the KSD Sharing Foundation (Chairman Lee Soon-ho), until October 24th.

This project aims to improve the business environment for small business owners with disabilities facing difficult business conditions and strengthen their self-reliance. This year, a total of five companies will be selected, with each receiving up to 11 million won in environmental improvement support.

Support items include ▲store remodeling and interior design ▲purchase of furniture and equipment necessary for work ▲brand development (trademark design, brand name, etc.), and can also be used to create a barrier-free environment, such as installing kiosks, in response to the strengthened accessibility obligations for the disabled following the recent revision of the Prohibition of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities Act.

Eligible participants are small business owners who hold a certificate of disability-related business activity under the Act on Promotion of Business Activities by Persons with Disabilities and who fall under Article 2 of the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises. However, non-profit businesses, businesses currently closed or inactive, and businesses excluded from small business policy funding (e.g., speculative businesses) are excluded. Social cooperatives are eligible to apply if they meet all requirements for disability-related business activity.

From 2019 to 2025, the KSD Sharing Foundation has donated approximately 740 million won to support various programs supporting businesses for people with disabilities, including this project. This year's project is also part of this effort.

The recruitment period runs from October 2nd to 24th. Applications can be submitted via email (kiup@debc.or.kr), mail, or in person. Details and application forms can be found on the "Notices > Business Announcements" bulletin board on the official website of the Korea Center for the Advancement of Disabled Enterprises .

Chairman Park Maru said, “Although the proportion of disabled workers in small business establishments is as high as 41.1%, it is often difficult to secure the resources necessary to improve working conditions,” and added, “We will continue to provide policy support to strengthen the management stability and self-reliance of small business owners with disabilities.”
