Medical IT startup Mediac announced that it has been selected for the Micro DIPS (Micro Deep Learning) category of the '2025 Ultra-Gap Startup 1000+ Project', a national strategic industry development project hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Micro DIPS is a program where startups with artificial intelligence (AI) technology and demand organizations jointly plan and demonstrate AI Transformation (AX) projects. Selected companies are provided with comprehensive support, including ▲commercialization funds ▲technology advancement ▲market development.
Mediark is a medical IT startup developing and operating "Simtomi," a healthcare system centered on AI-based multilingual questionnaire and symptom analysis technology. Simtomi operates by analyzing and summarizing user-entered symptoms through AI, connecting patients with medical professionals. Currently supporting 14 languages, it facilitates efficient treatment even in environments with limited access to healthcare.
The company continues to conduct research and development based at its corporate research center within the Seoul Biohub Innovation Community Center. With this Micro DIPS selection, the company plans to further expand the application of its multilingual questionnaire and summary system in medical settings. Specifically, by eliminating language barriers, the company aims to improve treatment efficiency in areas with inadequate medical infrastructure and contribute to alleviating imbalances in medical services.
Mediaarch is pursuing proof-of-concept (PoC) collaborations with domestic and international demand organizations and is expanding its global partnerships targeting overseas markets such as South Africa and Vietnam. Through this process, it is providing consistent quality services in multilingual environments, leveraging ISO 17100 certification, the international translation standard.
Additionally, Mediac holds a patent for its "AI-based multilingual medical history summary and translation service provision method," developed in collaboration with medical professionals, thereby demonstrating the originality and practical applicability of the technology.
Lee Chan-hyung, CEO of Mediac, said, “Through this selection for Micro DIPS, we will apply Simtomi’s multilingual questionnaire and summary technology to various medical settings and secure competitiveness in the global market.”
