Hyperconnect Obtains ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Certification

Hyperconnect, a global video communication platform company, announced that it has obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, an international standard for information security management systems.

ISO/IEC 27001 is a global information security standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It defines the criteria, controls, and procedures organizations must establish to protect information. To achieve this certification, organizations must meet all four control areas (93 detailed control items): organizational, personnel, physical, and technical. By obtaining certification, companies gain external trust that they systematically manage and protect their information assets while adhering to the core security principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

With this certification, Hyperconnect plans to further strengthen its security reliability and enhance its competitiveness in the global market. In particular, as international security certification is a key evaluation criterion when collaborating with overseas government agencies and global partners, this achievement is expected to have a positive impact on future business expansion and securing global competitiveness.

“This certification is very significant in that it officially recognizes that our information security management capabilities meet international standards,” said Kim Min-joo, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Hyperconnect. “We will continue to improve and invest to maintain our security capabilities at the global standard level.”
