Friendly AI Hosts 'Seoul Meetup 2025'… "Four Companies Participate in K-AI's First Elite Team"

Friendly AI, an AI inference service company, announced on the 23rd that it will host "Friendly AI Seoul Meetup 2025" at Space Share Samsung Station in Seoul on October 16th. The event's theme is "The Future of K-AI," and four of the five elite K-AI teams selected by the government this year will participate.

This meetup will feature participation from LG AI Research Center, Upstage, NC AI, and SK Telecom. Friendly AI expects this event to showcase Korea's status in areas such as foundation models, multimodal AI, agent AI, and inference platforms. A select team of speakers will also present next-generation AI technologies and industry-specific application cases.

The presentation sessions will consist of ▲Friendly AI CEO Jeon Byeong-gon – ‘Large-scale AI Inference in Real Services’ ▲LG AI Research Director Lee Jin-sik – ‘Towards Agent AI: The Future of the AI Industry’ ▲SK Telecom – ‘SK Telecom’s Agent AI’ ▲Upstage CTO Lee Hwal-seok – ‘The Present and Future of the AI B2B Market’ ▲NC AI CEO Lee Yeon-soo – ‘Multimodal AI: Shaping the Future of the Content Industry’.

Friendly AI, currently a partner of LG AI Research Institute's K-AI project, excels in AI inference acceleration and cost reduction. The company boasts technology that reduces GPU infrastructure costs by up to 50% and a convenient AI deployment and deployment platform. In January, Hugging Face, the world's largest AI platform, became the first startup to add Friendly AI's AI deployment solution to its official deployment options. In August, the company attracted industry attention by securing a massive 27.5 billion won in seed funding in a seed expansion round.

LG AI Research Center is one of the companies leading the era of agentic AI with its hybrid AI model, "ExaOne 4.0." SK Telecom is accelerating its transformation into an AI company through its consumer AI platform, "Adot," and its in-house AI agent, "Adot Biz." Upstage is driving innovation in the enterprise AI market with its proprietary pre-trained giant language model (LLM), and NC AI is targeting the multimodal AI industry and content market based on over 14 years of development experience. Furthermore, these meetup participants are also key clients of Friendly AI.

The event will begin with opening remarks at 6:20 PM, with presentations continuing until 8:30 PM, followed by a networking session. Registration can be found on the event platform Luma's registration page (https://luma.com/b6elveaz), or by searching for "FriendliAI" on Onoffmix or EventUS.

“This meetup is a valuable opportunity for five of Korea’s leading AI companies to come together,” said Jeon Byeong-gon, CEO of Friendly AI. “We hope this will be a networking opportunity for participants to share their insights and explore new opportunities for collaboration.” He added, “Friendly AI will do its best to make this event a venue for the exchange and development of AI ideas.”
