The Korea Teachers Credit Union and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency signed a business agreement.

The Korea Teachers Credit Union (Standing Auditor Lee Chun-ho) announced on the 22nd that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Small and Medium Business Administration (Standing Auditor Lee Mok-hee) to strengthen cooperation in auditing activities.

This agreement was promoted with the aim of establishing a cooperative system among internal audit organizations and enhancing internal control and anti-corruption capabilities to enhance the professionalism and effectiveness of audit work.

The key aspects of the agreement include: ▲ information and technology exchange, including AI-based auditing techniques; ▲ mutual support of professional audit personnel (including cross-audits); and ▲ joint training programs, including working-level meetings and workshops. The two organizations plan to continue practical cooperation to enhance audit capabilities.

Lee Chun-ho, standing auditor of the Korea Teachers Credit Union, said, “We expect that our cooperation with the Korea Small and Medium Business Administration, which is working hard to enhance its internal control system, will contribute to enhancing audit expertise,” and added, “We will continue to strengthen our trustworthy internal audit function to become a credit union for educators.”

The Korea Teachers' Credit Union has expanded inter-agency collaboration by previously signing auditing agreements with Kangwon Land, the Government Employees Pension Service, and the Korea Local Government Officials Credit Union. Furthermore, as part of its efforts to improve company-wide audit quality, it received an Excellence Award in the Compliance Monitoring category at the 2024 Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants Convention.
