
Kim Jong-ho, Chairman of the Korea Technology Finance Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “KIBO”) , announced that he visited Airs Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Sang-hyeon), a medical robot manufacturing company located in Daegu Metropolitan City, on Wednesday the 17th and held a business site meeting.
This meeting was organized to visit innovative technology companies, listen to their various regulatory challenges, and discuss institutional improvements to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises and venture companies. In particular, the meeting reviewed KIBO's support for innovative technology companies that integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, and explored regulatory improvement measures with external regulatory innovation experts.
Airs Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer of AI-based fracture surgery assistance robots and holds numerous robotics technology patents. Airs Co., Ltd. is recognized for its outstanding technological prowess, having received the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's New Excellent Technology (NET) certification in 2023 and been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 2024 DIPS 1000+ Project in the biohealth sector.
Kibo has highly valued Aires' growth potential and technological prowess, providing customized financial support programs, including working capital, facility financing, and guaranteed investments. Through these programs, Aires has established a foundation for growth, including clinical research, mass production preparation, and securing a business site.
After touring the R&D site with CEO Jeong Sang-hyeon, Kibo Chairman Kim Jong-ho said, “Kibo has been providing diverse support to small and medium-sized venture companies with innovative technologies so that they can grow based on their technological competitiveness.” He added, “In line with the government’s AI transformation policy keynote, we will strengthen field-centered policy linkages so that AI-based innovative technology companies can lead the global market.”
Following the on-site meeting, Chairman Kim Jong-ho held an open discussion with employees from the Busan, Ulsan, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk regions. At this event, both older and younger employees gathered to discuss various topics, including Kibo's organizational culture and future direction.
During the discussion, Chairman Kim Jong-ho emphasized the importance of two-way communication between generations to strengthen organizational capabilities based on a culture of innovation. He urged employees to foster open communication based on mutual understanding even in the sales field. He also emphasized safety and health practices and anti-corruption practices, clearly demonstrating the management's commitment to developing a safer and more transparent public institution.
