ICT specialized company Ucube (CEO Kim Jeong-beom) announced on the 18th that it was finally selected as a ‘profitable growth baby unicorn’ company hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (hereinafter referred to as the MSS).
Through this selection, Ucube has laid the foundation for becoming a "unicorn company" with a corporate value of over 1 trillion won, and is expected to further accelerate its growth as a leading ICT company through a future IPO.
The "Baby Unicorn Incubation Project Profit Growth Track" is a core program of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups that identifies companies that have secured independent growth potential without attracting external investment and supports their growth into "venture companies worth 100 billion won (potential unicorns)." Ucube has been leading the digital transformation (DX) of public institutions, achieving differentiated results in ICT fields such as SI and SM based on its proprietary technology. In particular, its recent focus on AI-based solutions and quantum encryption solutions has been recognized for their high growth potential.
With this selection as a Baby Unicorn company, Ucube will receive follow-up support to accelerate its IPO and entry into the global market, including ▲up to 300 million won in funding ▲up to 5 billion won in special guarantees ▲growth strategy diagnosis ▲overseas expansion support program ▲technology-specific listing consulting.
“This selection as a baby unicorn is yet another recognition of Ucube’s technological prowess and market competitiveness,” said Ucube CEO Kim Jeong-beom. “We will continue to innovate and grow at an even faster pace to enter the capital market through an IPO and leap forward as a unicorn company.”
