KOTITI Testing & Research Institute (President Sang-rak Lee) and Gyeonggi Province Economic and Science Promotion Agency (President Hyeon-gon Kim) signed a business agreement on the 8th to strengthen the technological competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in Gyeonggi Province and support their entry into the global market.
This agreement aims to quickly resolve challenges faced by SMEs in testing and analysis, compliance with standards, certification, and export processes, and to provide customized support at each stage. KOTITI plans to focus on enhancing the quality competitiveness and global certification capabilities of local companies, leveraging its accumulated global testing and research capabilities.
The two organizations plan to maximize the impact of their support to companies by establishing an "implementation-based cooperation model" that organically links the entire process of technology development (R&D), certification, and export support. KOTITI will strengthen its ability to respond to global standards and promote quality improvement, while Gyeonggi Business Center (GBC) will provide on-site support and leverage its network. KOTITI will also leverage its overseas network to systematically assist companies with initial market research and export preparation.
The main content of this agreement is to strengthen information-based export support. The two organizations will share market trends and overseas regulatory information, and by incorporating the Gyeonggi Research Institute's close corporate support function, they will promote 'Technical Regulation and Export Support Consulting for Gyeonggi Province SMEs.'
During the development phase, we assist with resolving technical challenges and supporting prototype and performance verification. During the certification phase, we contribute to shortening certification preparation periods through consulting on domestic and international standard compliance and linking testing and certification. During the export preparation phase, we provide practical consulting and training on regulations, standards, customs clearance, and labeling, supporting initial market research and compliance preparation.
KOTITI plans to increase the success rate of overseas expansion for local companies by promoting global standards and quality advancement in the fields of testing, analysis, and certification. The Korea Technology Finance Corporation will continue to discover technology startups, provide funding, resolve technical obstacles, support commercialization, and provide sales and export packages.
KOTITI President Lee Sang-rak said, “This agreement will be an opportunity to fundamentally resolve the difficulties faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in the province in terms of testing, analysis, and certification,” and added, “We will actively support companies to secure competitiveness in the global market by combining KOTITI’s international testing and certification capabilities with the on-site support system of the Korea Testing & Research Institute.”
