Cospo selects final startups for "Come Up in Jeju"

The Korea Startup Forum announced on the 26th that it has selected the final startups to participate in 'Come Up in Jeju', which will be held in September, together with the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, Jeju Tourism Organization, and Jeju Dream Tower Resort Complex.

"Come Up in Jeju," held on September 10th and 11th, is a global conference bringing together approximately 100 participants, including tourism investors, startups, and large and medium-sized enterprises from Korea, China, and Japan. Designed to expand the Come Up 2025 main event and strengthen international networking, the program focuses specifically on promoting the Jeju and global expansion of tourism-focused startups.

From July 14th to August 1st, COSPO recruited tourism industry startups and prospective entrepreneurs based in Jeju from within and outside of Jeju Island to participate in 'Come Up in Jeju', and selected the final participating companies through document screening and interviews. As a result of the selection, 11 startups (6 within Jeju Island, 5 outside of Jeju Island) and 4 prospective entrepreneur teams were selected. The 6 Jeju startups that participated are ▲The Sound Bunker Co., Ltd. ▲Locally ▲It the Company ▲Jeclean Co., Ltd. ▲Peter Peter Co., Ltd. ▲Scene of Jeju. The 5 non-Jeju startups that participated are ▲Dipping Source Co., Ltd. ▲Maze Co., Ltd. ▲Outfit Lab Co., Ltd. ▲Uluru Co., Ltd. ▲Tag by Company. The 4 prospective entrepreneur teams are ▲Egg Basket (Memorial) ▲Night Night ▲Overwhale ▲Yona Jeju.

The selected companies will have opportunities to network and collaborate with key players in the tourism industry through "ComeUp in Jeju." Startups will have the opportunity to participate in conferences, business meetups, and promotional booths, as well as participate in booth exhibitions and meetups at the main ComeUp event. They will also participate in upcoming "Business Trips" to Japan and China. Aspiring entrepreneurs will also be provided with customized startup mentoring and business meetups in addition to participation in the "ComeUp in Jeju" program.

"Come Up in Jeju" will be held on September 10th and 11th, featuring a variety of programs including session-based conferences and business meetups. Conference speakers include Line Yahoo Z Venture Capital and E-Land China EIV. Based on the business agreement signed between the Jeju Tourism Organization and Jeju Dream Tower Integrated Resort on July 1st, KOSPO plans to actively support the successful operation of this event and expand the global expansion potential of tourism startups.

Han Sang-woo, Chairman of the Korea Startup Forum, said, “The tourism industry is a crucial bridgehead connecting local and global markets, and a field where startup innovation can shine the brightest. Therefore, I hope that this ‘Come Up in Jeju’ will serve as a starting point for the global leap forward of tourism startups and cooperation across ecosystems.”
