The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency announced that they held the '2025 Hi Seoul Enterprise Festival' on December 23rd, with the participation of approximately 200 Hi Seoul Enterprises, promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Seoul.

This festival, now in its fifth year, was designed to share the annual achievements of Hi Seoul Enterprises and foster cooperation among companies. Over 400 participants from 200 companies, including Kim Hyun-woo, CEO of the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency, and Park Mi-kyung, President of the Hi Seoul Enterprise Association, attended the event. Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon delivered a congratulatory video address, praising the achievements of Hi Seoul Enterprises and urging them to continue their growth.

The event featured exhibitions and promotional programs designed to foster mutually beneficial collaboration among Hi Seoul companies. A total of 73 companies participated in exhibition and promotional booths, showcasing their products, technologies, and services. Over 300 business-to-business consultations were held. Furthermore, 15 Hi Seoul companies presented their business strategies and presented proposals for collaboration, sharing their management philosophies and the direction they hope to contribute to the Seoul business ecosystem.

Unlike previous festivals, this year's festival featured not only a performance-based approach but also seminars on IPOs and investment attraction, as well as a forum exploring the economic and industrial landscape for 2026. The morning session focused on investment attraction, while the afternoon session provided IR information for IPOs, featuring expert lectures on the investment environment, IPO procedures, and success stories. The Hi Seoul Enterprise CEO Forum discussed economic and industrial outlooks and exchange rate response strategies to address changing global and domestic economic conditions.

Additionally, awards were presented to Hi Seoul companies and those who have contributed to corporate support for their outstanding achievements in areas such as exports, job creation, social contribution, and mutually beneficial cooperation. United Borders Co., Ltd., Heungkuk F&B Co., Ltd., and Intellibix Co., Ltd. were selected as outstanding companies in each field and presented their achievements.

An honorary graduation ceremony was also held to celebrate the growth of five Hi Seoul companies into mid-sized enterprises. Among them, CJ Bio and Heungkuk F&B received plaques as representative companies and will serve as mentors for the Hi Seoul companies in the future.

The Hi Seoul Enterprise certification program, launched by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in 2004, aims to identify and nurture promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This year, over 500 companies applied, resulting in a competition rate of approximately 5 to 1. 100 new companies were selected, bringing the total number of Hi Seoul Enterprises to 1,184. More than half of the certified companies have expanded into overseas markets, with 58 listed on the KOSDAQ. Total sales reached approximately 16 trillion won, and exports reached approximately 3.5 trillion won.

Kim Hyun-woo, CEO of the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency, said that Hi Seoul Enterprises are key players driving the Seoul economy and that he will continue to support their growth in the global market.
