MOIN, a fintech company specializing in overseas remittances, announced that it has been selected as an award winner in the foreign exchange category of the '2025 Governor's External Relations Awards' hosted by the Bank of Korea.
The Bank of Korea Governor's External Awards are presented to institutions and individuals who have contributed to the development of the financial industry and the performance of the Bank of Korea's business. This year's recipients include major commercial banks such as Kookmin Bank, Woori Bank, Hana Bank, and Shinhan Bank, as well as government-run banks and global investment banks.
Moin was selected as the only fintech company among institutional financial institutions to receive the award, in recognition of its efforts to operate stable foreign exchange operations and comply with relevant laws and regulations based on its understanding of the foreign exchange system.
MOIN, a leading domestic fintech company with an international remittance license, has been addressing the inefficiencies of traditional financial networks through its proprietary global financial network, the "MOIN Payment Network (MPN). Beginning with remittance services for international students, MOIN has expanded its business to include B2B solutions for corporations, platforms, and e-commerce, providing fast and affordable international remittance and settlement services.
Furthermore, Moin has proven its global competitiveness and regulatory compliance capabilities by being selected as one of KPMG's "Top 100 Fintech Companies," being the only domestic remittance company officially listed on the World Bank Price Index, and being selected as an "Outstanding Suspicious Transaction Reporter (STR)" by the Korea Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). This award from the Bank of Korea Governor reaffirms the trustworthiness of financial authorities.
CEO Seo Il-seok said, “We are honored to receive the Bank of Korea Governor’s Award, the only fintech company in the foreign exchange sector alongside major commercial banks,” adding, “We will continue to create new standards for global finance based on our strong compliance capabilities and technological prowess.”
