Green Loop Co., Ltd. (CEO Kang-jin Han) , a smart clothing collection solution company, announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with OSLLO, a waste clothing upcycling company, and will begin collaborating on the entire waste textile resource recycling process.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to expand the scope of their cooperation across the entire process, from collection and sorting of waste clothing to reuse and upcycling.
Greenloop has been efficiently collecting, managing, and reusing waste clothing through smart clothing collection boxes and a data-driven operating system. Oslo, on the other hand, has been utilizing waste clothing as an upcycling resource based on its own collection and sorting system. This agreement aims to link the operational experience and data accumulated by both companies to increase the precision and efficiency of waste clothing utilization.
The two companies will leverage key data accumulated during the collection process, including clothing condition and fiber composition, for collaboration. They will also collaborate on upcycling, transforming collected and sorted waste clothing into building and interior materials such as wallpaper and interior blocks. Through this collaboration, they plan to gradually expand the model of utilizing waste textiles beyond simple recycling into high-value-added materials.
Green Loop CEO Han Kang-jin said, “This MOU with Oslo is a collaboration to enhance the utilization of waste clothing by combining the operational experience each company has accumulated,” and “Based on Green Loop’s collection infrastructure and data capabilities, we will produce tangible results in the field of upcycling.”
