Klook, a global accommodation, transportation, and activity booking platform, announced on the 30th that it signed a business agreement with the Korea Tourism Startup Association (KOTSA) on the 29th to strengthen the competitiveness of Korean tourism startups and revitalize the tourism industry.
This agreement aims to foster a sustainable growth ecosystem for Korean tourism startups and establish a model for mutually beneficial cooperation between global platforms and domestic innovative companies. Through this collaboration, both parties aim to enhance the global competitiveness of the Korean tourism industry and foster the shared growth of tourism startups.
The Korea Tourism Startup Association will work with its member companies to develop and plan tourism products, focusing on non-tourist destinations, and will support startups in transforming their ideas into actual products. Klook will provide consulting services to enhance product viability throughout the entire process, from product planning to post-launch, and support the digital transformation of tourism products, including the introduction of digital reservation systems.
Additionally, Klook, in collaboration with the association, supports overseas promotional activities for selected tourism products, helping them develop global markets. Through this, Klook aims to support promising domestic tourism startups' entry into overseas markets and expand examples of mutually beneficial cooperation in the tourism industry.
With this agreement, the Korea Tourism Startup Association and Klook plan to continue their collaboration to strengthen the commercialization capabilities of tourism startups and to expand regional tourism content globally.
