The Korea Artificial Intelligence & Software Industry Association (KOSA, Chairman Cho Jun-hee) announced that it will form the K-AI Full Stack Model Consortium with major domestic AI companies such as Megazone Cloud, LG AI Research Center, NC AI, Upstage, Euracle, Furiosa AI, and Rebellion and begin a joint global market entry project in earnest.
This consortium will operate as a small, elite organization that prioritizes speed and execution. MegaZone Cloud, with its experience executing large-scale overseas projects, will serve as the primary contractor, while the remaining participating companies will jointly participate in the project.
KOSA explained that the formation of this consortium is a strategic effort to enhance the credibility and scalability of the Korean AI industry as a whole, beyond the overseas expansion of individual companies. It is considered significant in that it transcends competition among companies and presents a model for national AI capabilities through collaboration.
The core of the project is to bundle the technological capabilities of Korea's AI industry under the national brand "K-AI" and present them to the global market. Participating companies plan to propose complete AI models applicable to real-world industrial settings to overseas clients through a full-stack AI alliance model.
The K-AI full-stack model is based on a five-stage structure: AI semiconductors, cloud infrastructure, foundation models, AI/NPU operations and management, and AI applications. Each stage combines proven technologies from participating companies with real-world industrial applications.
This project is not simply a technology introduction or a list of companies. Rather, it is a global branding project that presents a packaged structure that organically connects, operates, and expands AI infrastructure and services. This is designed to enable overseas clients to select AI projects at the national and industry levels.
KOSA plans to apply the K-AI full-stack model to various industries, including energy and manufacturing, and develop it into a global reference model that can be expanded to cover urban and national operations. Through this, the company aims to solidify its brand image as a nationally proven industrial AI full-stack solution in the global market.
