Meisa Selects Satellite Image Super-Resolution Solutions as Recommended Item for Industrial Cooperation

Meisa , a drone/satellite space analysis AI platform company, announced on the 30th that its satellite image super resolution solution was selected as a recommended general goods item for offset trade in the industrial cooperation field.

Offset trade is a transaction method that involves indirect compensation in the form of industrial cooperation, such as technology transfer, education and training, and joint projects, in defense industry exports and large-scale national projects. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy comprehensively evaluates potential industrial cooperation items for offset trade implementation based on factors such as export competitiveness, technological prowess, project execution capabilities, and industrial ripple effects, and selects recommended items.

This selection was based on a comprehensive review of the product's export competitiveness, technological excellence, project management and execution capabilities, export expansion potential, industrial ripple effects, and alignment with government policies, all in accordance with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's offset trade recommendation criteria. During this process, Meisa's super-resolution solution was recognized for its ability to improve satellite image quality and its commercialization capabilities applicable to actual export and industrial cooperation projects.

Meisa's satellite image super-resolution solution uses AI to improve the resolution of low-resolution satellite images by two to three times, simultaneously enhancing object recognition rates, boundary accuracy, and identification reliability. It enables large-area image processing and real-time quality improvement for localized areas, making it ideal for a variety of applications, including defense surveillance and reconnaissance, disaster response, and urban change analysis.

It can simultaneously secure economic feasibility and operational efficiency by increasing the utilization value of existing satellite imagery without launching additional satellites. It is also characterized by the ability to be structured as an industrial cooperation package suitable for implementing offset trade through a contract structure that includes technology transfer and training, and a parallel on-premise and cloud supply method.

With this selection of recommended products, Meisa is pursuing the expansion of its industrial cooperation technology supply model, linking domestic defense companies with satellite and public sector export projects. Through technology modularization and API-based integration, Meisa is expanding its scope of application by integrating with existing satellite and AI systems in exporting countries. It is also considering expanding into follow-up offset trade-linked projects.

Kim Dong-young, CEO of Meisa, said that this selection has confirmed that satellite image super-resolution technology is applicable to actual export and industrial cooperation projects, and that he plans to expand the industrial cooperation technology export model in various fields such as defense, public, and disaster relief in the future.
