Eta Electronics (CEO Yeo Tae-dong), a company specializing in wireless power transmission solutions, announced on the 31st that it had received a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT for its contribution to leading domestic standards and commercialization of robot wireless power transmission technology.
This award recognizes Eta Electronics for leading domestic standards in the field of sub-1kW robot wireless power transmission technology, achieving KC certification, and successfully commercializing the technology. This recognition recognizes Eta Electronics' contributions to the spread of safe and convenient wireless charging technology for commercial and industrial robots.
In particular, the company has been participating in the development of certification standards since September of last year, reviewing electromagnetic compatibility testing standards and safety verification methods with the Ministry of Science and ICT. In March of this year, the company spearheaded a system improvement that expanded the wireless charger certification standard from 50W or less to 1kW or less. This achievement is seen as contributing to the spread of wireless charging technology across the industry by establishing essential certification standards for the commercialization of robot wireless power transmission technology.
Eta Electronics launched its robot wireless charging solution, ELYX, which received KC certification in April of this year. This solution overcomes the physical limitations of robots having to stop for battery charging, providing a foundation for 24-hour continuous operation in smart factories and logistics sites.
In addition, through the wireless charging integrated management platform 'ELYX Link', the entire robot wireless charging process, including real-time charging status monitoring, remote control, and charging data analysis, is being managed in an integrated manner, accelerating the expansion of the domestic robot wireless charging ecosystem.
CEO Yeo Tae-dong said, “This award is a recognition of our efforts to establish standards by cooperating with the government to achieve technological innovation and deregulate industrial sites,” and added, “We will grow into a company that leads global wireless power transmission technology standards beyond Korea.”
