Channel Corporation Acquires Lee Kyung-hoon from Japan's Global Brain

Channel Corporation (CEO Siwon Choi) , which operates the all-in-one AI business messenger 'Channel Talk', announced on the 5th that it has hired Kyunghoon Lee, a Korean representative from Japanese venture capital firm Global Brain, as its Vice President and Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO).

After graduating from Kyoto University, Lee Kyung-hoon, CAIO, worked at the Boston Consulting Group and the generative AI startup AKA. From 2018 to recently, he served as the Korea representative for Global Brain, overseeing cross-border startup investments between Korea and Japan. He also served as an outside director at Allganize, a large-scale language model (LLM) solution company, and Real World, a robotics AI model startup, gaining experience across the AI and tech industries.

Global Brain is Japan's largest VC with approximately 3.5 trillion won in assets under management. It has invested in approximately 30 domestic startups, including Channel Corporation, Allganize, Healing Paper, and The Plate, and has supported their entry into the Japanese market.

Lee Kyung-hoon, CAIO, announced that he will be responsible for the operation of Channel Corporation's AX (AI Transformation) organization and the advancement of customer AX conversion, and will also focus on strengthening competitiveness in the Japanese market.

Channel Corporation's Channel Talk offers features such as AI consulting agent Alp, chat consulting, CRM marketing, team messenger, internet phone, and video calling, and is used by over 200,000 companies in 22 countries, including e-commerce, startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, and large corporations.
