Selvas AI , an artificial intelligence (AI) company, announced on the 12th that it had supplied its voice recognition solution 'SELVAS SR (Speech Recognition)' API to AI edutech company Weverse Mind.
Weverse Mind operates an AI-based self-directed learning service called 'Brain Sap' and has recently expanded its business area in the edutech field, including English conversation platforms and textbook-based vocabulary learning. The voice recognition API supplied this time is being applied to 'Talkies School', an English learning service dedicated to public education, and is being utilized to implement a customized learning environment for users.
SELVAS SR is a speech recognition technology specialized in sentence-level pronunciation evaluation, and has the function of analyzing the user's pronunciation in real time and providing precise feedback. Previously, it was provided based on an independent server, but after being converted to an API format, it can be easily integrated into various platforms without a separate server infrastructure. Accordingly, an environment has been created where small and medium-sized education companies can utilize related services while reducing the burden of introduction.
Recently, the demand for AI-based customized content, pronunciation correction, and conversation-centered language education has been increasing, and the government's policy of introducing AI-based digital textbooks and expanding the use of AI in public education is also influencing the increase in demand for related technologies.
With this API supply, Selvas AI plans to strengthen its position in the educational voice recognition solution market. Yoon Jae-seon, head of Selvas AI’s voice recognition business, said, “Through collaboration with Weverse Mind, which has AI technology and content capabilities, we have been able to provide an English education solution centered on precise pronunciation correction,” and “We will continue to expand collaboration with domestic and foreign edtech companies in the future.”
