Jeju Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as Jeju Center) is launching the '2025 AI Collaboration Open Ground Program' for the first time together with DB Insurance, Jo Kwang Paint, and Hana Bank.
In particular, it aims to derive common keyword tasks in the AI (artificial intelligence) industry, activate the AI industry ecosystem, and discover promising startups in new industries. Open Ground is a Jeju-style open innovation program that focuses on building a highly immersive collaborative environment between companies by utilizing Jeju's specialized industries and infrastructure.
A total of three companies, ▲DB Insurance, ▲Cho Kwang Paint, and ▲Hana Bank, will participate in this program. Each company will discover promising startups through demand projects that meet its core technology and service needs and support follow-up cooperation.
The program is recruiting startups in the AI field that are located nationwide and have been established for less than 10 years. Applications are open until Monday the 30th, and participating startups will have the opportunity to discuss collaboration possibilities with matched demand companies through 1:1 meetups.
The selected startups will be provided with PoC (Proof of Concept) opportunities and will be linked with various follow-up support until December. ▲Up to 10 million won worth of PoC funds in case of successful commercialization matching ▲Jeju workation opportunity for open innovation purpose ▲Review of center seed money and investment combination ▲Linkage with global OI program ▲Support for occupancy space and promotional marketing. In addition, it will be provided with benefits by sector provided by the matched demand company.
Jeju Center Director Lee Byeong-seon said, “This program will be an important opportunity to build a new cooperative network in the AI new industry field, and we will create a collaborative environment that can lead to actual results based on Jeju-style open innovation.”
