Cowintech wins order for 'next-generation fuel cell logistics automation system'

Cowintech (CEO Jaehwan Lee and Gapyong Jeong) , a leading company in smart factory automation systems, announced that it has secured an order for a next-generation fuel cell logistics automation system from a domestic company.

As Cowintech secures the order, it will supply next-generation fuel cell logistics automation systems, including automatic warehouses and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), to domestic companies. The contract period is until the end of November 2025, and details such as the contract counterparty, contract size, and supply region were not disclosed due to business confidentiality reasons.

As Korea and Japan are recently promoting collaboration in the next-generation fuel sector to build a global next-generation fuel ecosystem, and the development of the global next-generation fuel industry is expected to be centered on the Asian region, Cowintech said that it expects additional orders related to this.

A Cowintech official explained, “This order for the next-generation fuel cell logistics automation system is significant in that it secures a competitive edge in the next-generation battery market, along with the previous order for the cylindrical 46-pi battery line.” He added, “We will focus on expanding the market based on our competitive AMR products.”

Starting with a contract to supply mass-produced autonomous AMRs in January, Cowintech signed an AMR supply contract with a domestic petrochemical company in February, and is accelerating its market expansion by expanding its supply chain to the next-generation fuel energy sector. With the introduction of robots and artificial intelligence (AI) in various industries, rapid growth in the AMR market is expected, and Cowintech plans to rapidly expand its market by diversifying AMR suppliers and developing new technologies.
