Aiden Lab, Ministry of SMEs and Startups' '2025 Baby Unicorn Breeding Project' Final Selection

Aiden Lab announced on the 26th that it was finally selected for the '2025 Baby Unicorn Development Project' hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

The Baby Unicorn Development Project is a program that systematically supports promising venture companies with high potential to grow into global unicorn companies. This project, which began in 2020, targets early-stage growth companies with a corporate value of less than 100 billion won, and aims to evaluate their technological prowess and marketability to develop them into ‘potential unicorns’, ‘baby unicorns’, and ‘global unicorns’ in stages.

This year, a total of 217 companies applied, and 50 companies including Aiden Lab were finally selected. The selected companies were evaluated as having growth potential and competitiveness, recording an average corporate value of 32.1 billion won, a cumulative investment of 5.61 billion won, and an average sales of 4.4 billion won.

Aiden Lab has been publicly recognized for its technological prowess and potential for global market expansion through this selection, and it is expected to serve as an opportunity to strengthen its export strategy centered on K-beauty. Selected companies will be provided with various financial and non-financial support, including up to 300 million won in market development funds, up to 5 billion won in guarantee support from the Technology Guarantee Fund, and performance-linked guarantees.

Aiden Lab CEO Kang Cheol-yong said, “This selection is a meaningful result that recognizes the company’s technological prowess and business model from the government,” and added, “Our goal is to present a new standard for K-beauty exports based on government support and to leap forward as a global unicorn company.”
