Enactus Korea has won the '2025 Forbes Social Contribution Award'. This award is the result of Enactus Korea being officially recognized for its contribution to creating a domestic impact ecosystem through youth-led social innovation activities over the past 20 years.
Founded in 2004, Enactus Korea has been supporting university students to solve community and environmental problems in a creative business manner through collaboration with 26 universities and 10 sponsoring companies across the country. Through this, it focuses on fostering practical leaders with a sense of social responsibility.
Enactus Korea began its activities based on voluntary student participation and has now produced many impact ventures such as Quiet Taxi, Donggu Field, 119 Leo, and Doohands. These companies are building sustainable business models for local communities and vulnerable groups and are having a positive impact on society as a whole. The cumulative number of graduates so far is approximately 3,400, and approximately 30 of them have successfully started businesses. As of 2024, the annual sales of the companies they have established are expected to exceed 250 billion won.
Enactus Korea plans to continue to focus on strengthening college students’ creative problem-solving skills and social sensitivity. CEO Lee Go-eun said, “This award will be an important milestone for Enactus to look back on the past 20 years and prepare for the next 20 years,” and added, “We will spare no effort in providing diverse support so that young people can grow into entrepreneurs who lead a sustainable society.”
