Jeju Center, '3rd Jeju Startup Ecosystem Forum X Naknak Day' held

Jeju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Lee Byeong-seon, hereinafter referred to as Jeju Center) successfully held the '3rd Jeju Startup Ecosystem Forum X Knock Knock Day' event on the theme of 'Possibility of Jeju Local Brand Commercial District Business' at J-SPACE on the 3rd floor of Jeju Venture Maru on the 29th.

This event was organized to share the achievements of local creator companies that received support from the Jeju Center and were selected as the 'Local Brand Commercial District Creation Team' for two consecutive years and to discuss the future of local brands.

The event opened with an introduction to the ‘Local Brand Commercial District Creation’ and ‘Global Commercial District Creation Project’ policies by Jeju Center Team Leader Ko Deok-hoon, and was followed by a keynote speech by CEO Park Seung-hyun of Gongjon Space, which is successfully leading the ‘Global Commercial District Creation Project’ in Haenggung-dong, Suwon.

In particular, this forum also provided time to hear vividly about the present and future of Jeju’s local brand commercial district. CEO Kim Jeong-ah of Cocoha, who was selected as the 2024 local brand creation team, shared her experiences as a member of the local brand commercial district team over the past year and her future plans under the theme of “The village helps you.”

Next, Ilro, the stock company selected in 2025, and its CEO Lee Geum-jae presented a plan and blueprint for a local brand commercial district in downtown Jeju under the theme of 'Kkodak Kkodak Geulreumyeong: 15 years of exploring downtown Jeju', leaving a deep impression.

The speakers who gave this lecture have already achieved remarkable results in the local brand field. CEO Park Seung-hyun expanded the 'Shindosi Brewery' brand centered on local creators based on his experience working in Haenggung-dong for 10 years, and is about to establish 'Haenggung-dong Corporation' centered on local businesses and residents through a global commercial district business. CEO Kim Jeong-ah is building a local network centered on Sehwa-ri, Jeju-si, and operating local travel programs, while successfully hosting the flea market 'Momojang' and 'Momo Fashion Show' that highlight the characteristics of the village, contributing to the revitalization of the region.

Following the keynote speech, a talk session was held. In the talk session, CEO Park Seung-hyun, CEO Kim Jeong-ah, and CEO Lee Geum-jae participated, and diagnosed the tasks that Jeju local brand commercial districts should pursue under the theme of “Current and future sustainability of local brand commercial districts,” and had time to answer various questions from participants and resolve their curiosity on the spot.

Jeju Center Director Lee Byeong-seon said, “Through this forum, we are not only emphasizing the potential and importance of local brand commercial districts in the Jeju region, but are also having a positive impact on the local community as a whole.” He added, “We will continue to focus the center’s capabilities on discovering excellent local creators and small business owners, strengthening the cooperative system, and supporting the creation of global commercial districts.”
