Lameditech's 'Carebeam' Signs Supply Contract with Japan's Military Medical

Laser healthcare specialist Lamedtech Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Jong-seok) announced on the 27th that it has signed a supply contract with its Japanese business partner GUNZE MEDICAL LIMITED for the 'CAREVEAM' excimer light irradiation device brand for skin disease treatment.

CAREVEAM, an excimer phototherapy device, is a medical device for treating skin diseases based on the 308 nm UVB wavelength used to treat autoimmune diseases such as vitiligo and psoriasis and inflammatory skin diseases.

Carebeam's features include a handpiece that is very light and small compared to other overseas equipment on the global market, making it very easy to use, and its performance and price are far better than those of other companies, which is why it is receiving attention from many buyers.

In particular, after obtaining a manufacturing and sales certificate for the Japanese market from the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) under the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan in early May, the company expects that sales in Japan will begin in earnest through GUNZE MEDICAL LIMITED, which has a distribution network of over 1,000 hospitals in Japan, and has completed a supply contract.

Lastly, according to a company official, “Certification has been completed or is in progress in many overseas countries, including not only Japan but also Iran, Taiwan, Turkey, and Sri Lanka, so sales expansion in overseas markets will accelerate further in the future.”
