Mobility concierge platform company Chabot Mobility announced on the 26th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with automobility specialist GNA and will strengthen its new and used car financing business and auto commerce services.
At the signing ceremony held at the GNA headquarters on May 23, key executives from both companies, including Chabot Mobility Vice President Kang Byeong-hee and GNA New Car Business Division CEO Kwak Se-won, attended and pledged to cooperate to create mutual synergy.
Through this partnership, Chabot has laid the foundation for further sophisticated expansion of services across the entire automobile transaction spectrum, including leasing, renting, and used car financing. At the same time, GNA has fully strengthened its online channels through the Chabot platform, and in particular, by organically linking the long-term rental car comparison app 'Datalab' operated by GNA with 'Chabot's' customized purchase consultation, insurance, and construction services, it is expected to lead to an expansion of the customer base through service diversification and high customer satisfaction.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to pursue various business cooperation. First, they plan to build an integrated service environment through linking the main services and systems of both companies, and operate a special lease/rental hall through a joint branding-based service with GNA within the Chabot platform to provide differentiated products and services. In addition, they plan to continuously cooperate in building a reliable digital auto commerce ecosystem through used car insurance sales, Chabot’s construction/maintenance service support, and digital distribution channel advancement.
Chabot Mobility Vice President Kang Byung-hee said, “This agreement is a meaningful first step toward presenting a new standard in the digital auto commerce market by combining the strengths of both companies.” He added, “Through close cooperation between both companies, we will provide customers with a complete auto concierge service they have never experienced before, and in the mid to long term, we will gradually expand our cooperation model for entry into the global market.”
