
Serat Co., Ltd. (CEO Eun Kyung-ah), a company specializing in advanced ceramic materials, received the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit at the '60th Invention Day' ceremony held at COEX Magok in Seoul on the 19th.
This award is a recognition of Serat's advanced ceramic technology development, global market development, and active domestic and international social contribution activities.
Invention Day, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, is a meaningful occasion to look back on the achievements of technological innovation through invention and present a vision for the future under the slogan of 'Best 60, Next 60.'
Invention Day is an event to honor those who have led the invention and innovation ecosystem and industrial development of the Republic of Korea. A total of 81 individuals and organizations received government awards, including ▲Samsung Electronics President Kyung-hoon Jeon, recipient of the Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit; ▲LG Electronics Vice President Hwi-jae Cho and Hyundai Motor Company Executive Director Nak-seop Sung, recipients of the Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit; ▲CEO Kyung-ah Eun of Serat and SK Hynix TL Cheong-gi Song, recipients of the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit.
CEO Eun Kyung Ah founded Serat and is developing and producing items for global luxury brand customers and various industries using zirconia advanced ceramic materials and parts, and exporting 100% of them. Serat has been selected as a ‘World Class Product Manufacturer’ for 8 consecutive years and is leading the global luxury healthcare ceramics industry.
Recently, he has been recognized for his expertise internationally and continues to actively work, such as being reappointed as the first Korean international judge for the 'WIPO Global Awards' of the UN World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). He has also walked the path of a socially responsible entrepreneur as a member of the Presidential National Intellectual Property Commission, a director of the Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation, vice president of the Korea Women's Venture Association, and an advisory member of the Korea University Business School.
Based on the trust built up over a long period of time, he has been engaged in global public activities linked to various businesses through a wide global network formed around global luxury brand customers.
