LG's open innovation platform ' Super Start ' will participate in 'Next Rise 2025', a domestic startup event held at COEX in Seoul from June 26th to 27th. LG will operate a separate booth and hold joint exhibitions with startups it is fostering to support investment attraction and business cooperation, and introduce LG's unique open innovation strategy to the public.
NextRise, now in its 7th year, is the largest startup event in Korea, co-hosted by the Industrial Bank of Korea and the Korea International Trade Association, and hosted by the National Research Council of Science and Technology, the Korea Venture Business Association, and the Korea Venture Capital Association. This event will be the largest ever, with approximately 1,600 domestic and international startups and 250 large corporations, mid-sized companies, and VCs participating.
Super Start is a startup discovery and nurturing platform operated by LG. It supports the growth of promising startups with technological prowess and growth potential and connects them with collaboration opportunities with LG. This booth operation is a place to share the results of open innovation to date and further expand contact points with the external ecosystem.
The booth will feature eight startups from the third batch of the currently-nurturing Super Start Incubator. Representative examples include ▲ Aim Intelligence, which develops security automation technology that ensures the reliability and safety of generative AI, ▲ Found Object, which operates the solution Sojae Moa, which supports resource circulation and ESG management through digital trading of recycled plastics, and ▲ Seco Robotics, a company specializing in 3D technology based on neural rendering for robot foundation models. In addition, LG NOVA, LG Electronics' North American Innovation Center, will also participate in the booth. LG NOVA is a new organization established in Silicon Valley in late 2020 for the purpose of fostering new businesses and discovering new business models in future fields such as health tech, clean tech, and AI. LG NOVA continuously discovers and fosters innovative new businesses of LG Electronics, and will introduce LG NOVA's innovation activities along with an exhibition of four new businesses (▲Primefocus Health ▲PADO AI ▲Ontolo ▲Relief AI) being fostered in-house and externally at the LG booth. In addition, LG NOVA Vice President Lee Seok-woo will share LG's global innovation strategy and expand cooperation with the external ecosystem through a seminar titled 'Journey of Innovation.'
The Super Start booth will also showcase LG Electronics' innovative new products that were unveiled at CES 2025. (▲'Hi-UP', a combination of a wine cellar and interior furniture, ▲'PureDuet', a water purifier and dual coffee machine all in one, ▲'Swivel', an air purifier with lighting and speaker functions) These products are the culmination of LG's cutting-edge technologies and showcase LG's unique experiments and challenges for changing lifestyles. Through this exhibition, the company will deliver the message of wanting to create a better future together through cooperation with the innovative startup ecosystem as well as internal technological innovations of LG.
Through this event, Super Start plans to expand its exchanges with various external partners such as startups, corporations, institutions, and investors, and lay the foundation for cooperation with startups that will lead future innovation together with LG.
