Naraespace selected as 'Top 100 Technology Leading Companies' by World Economic Forum

Naraespace Technology (hereinafter Naraespace) announced on the 25th that it was selected as one of the '2025 Technology Pioneers' announced by the World Economic Forum (hereinafter WEF).

The World Economic Forum has selected startups that contribute to solving social problems through technology as technology pioneers every year, and in the past, Google, Dropbox, and PayPal have also grown into global companies through this program. This year, startups with innovation and scalability in cutting-edge technology fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, spatial AI, and space technology were included.

Naraspace is providing solutions to detect and analyze various global environmental issues such as forest fires, water resources, and pollution by utilizing its own developed micro-satellites and AI-based data analysis technology. Satellite image data is used in various fields such as climate change response, resource management, and ESG (environment, society, and governance) risk analysis.

In fact, the satellite 'Observer-1A' operated by the company recorded a case in which it captured a wildfire that occurred in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles, USA in January 2025 and precisely analyzed the point of ignition and the extent of damage. The data was released through the satellite image analysis platform 'Earthpaper', and this is evaluated as an example showing that satellite data can be used as basic data for environmental risk assessment and policy making beyond real-time monitoring.

The WEF evaluated that “2025 Technology Pioneers are companies that combine AI-based resource efficiency and technological scalability,” and explained that the space technology sector in particular is a rapidly growing economic sector, with many startups exploring the possibility of solving humanity’s problems in extraterrestrial space.

NaRaSpace CEO Park Jae-pil said, “This selection is a meaningful achievement that recognizes Korea’s satellite technology not only for its industrial value but also as a means for the sustainability of humanity,” and added, “We plan to continue to focus on expanding the role of technology from simple observation to actual change.”
