
Shopee Korea (CEO Kwon Yoon-ah, Shopee), the largest e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, announced on the 20th that it will hold the '2025 Shopee Korea K-Beauty Summit' at the SKY31 Convention in Lotte World Tower, Songpa-gu, Seoul on June 10th.
The '2025 Shopee Korea K-Beauty Summit' was organized to share Southeast Asian K-Beauty trends and market entry strategies with K-Beauty brands, distributors, and other relevant parties, and to seek practical sales channel expansion opportunities.
This event, which will be held both online and offline, will be attended by Cosmax, the world’s No. 1 cosmetics ODM company, as an official sponsor, sharing know-how on analyzing Southeast Asian market customers and actively supporting the strengthening of competitiveness of potential brands. Cosmax has overseas corporations and production bases in Indonesia and Thailand, and is also operating businesses in Malaysia and Vietnam, expanding its influence in the Southeast Asian cosmetics ODM market. Shopee Korea plans to expand its strategy to the South American market in the future together with Cosmax.
In addition, beauty brands 'Arencia' and 'Skinfood', as well as Shopee's advertising partner 'Meta' and global market research agency Mintel Korea will appear as speakers to provide various insights to K-beauty sellers considering overseas expansion.
The main session of the event consisted of three parts: ▲K-beauty trends seen through data ▲Initial onboarding strategies and logistics and marketing guides for successful entry of K-beauty brands into Southeast Asia ▲Sharing of success stories from K-beauty brand managers.
In the morning session, Shopee Korea CEO Kwon Yoon-ah will begin her presentation with the topic of ‘Southeast Asian K-beauty trends and opportunities as seen through Shopee data.’ Following this, Cosmax Vice President Choi Kyung and Mintel Korea’s data team will personally present ‘Southeast Asian K-beauty localization strategy as seen through Cosmax’ and ‘Facial care market strategy to captivate Southeast Asian consumers,’ respectively.
In the afternoon session, K-beauty startup Arencia will introduce the strategy that enabled rapid growth in the early days of Shopee, and Skinfood will share the success story behind its global turnaround. Next, Meta will introduce cooperative advertising and material advertising strategies for beauty advertisers, with the topic of meta solutions that can be utilized for Shopee sales. In addition, there are programs prepared for offline event participants, such as on-site Q&A sessions, lucky draws, and booth tours.
In addition, this event will actively recruit brands to participate in the 'K-Beauty Strategic Seller Program', a growth support program designed to help beauty brands quickly and efficiently enter the market. Those who meet the criteria will be provided with a 1:1 customized consulting opportunity on the day.
To participate in the program, you must be a private label owner, distributor, or operating agency, own a certain number of stock-keeping units (SKUs), be willing to spend a certain amount of marketing budget for the first six months, and have Shopee staff.
Anyone who is a beauty brand or distributor preparing to expand overseas or has a distributor can apply for the '2025 Shopee Korea K-Beauty Summit'. It is free to participate both online and offline. In the case of offline participation, only brands that have not entered Shopee, distributors, and distributors can apply. Anyone can apply for online participation.
