The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (hereinafter referred to as MSS, Minister Oh Young-joo) announced on the 19th that it formed the '4th Government Innovation Avengers (hereinafter referred to as MSS Avengers)' centered on new civil servants with young and novel ideas in order to induce organizational culture innovation in the public service sector, and held a policy field experience and inauguration ceremony.
The SME Avengers, which has been in operation since 2022, has been carrying out various activities such as visiting innovative venture companies, small and medium-sized enterprises in the root industry that have applied smart processes, and networking with other organizations.
Through this, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups has focused on ‘strengthening communication in the field’ by enabling young, new civil servants who will lead the ministry to easily understand policy targets and hear vivid voices from the field directly.
The 4th Avengers of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, which is being launched this time, consists of a total of 30 people, and was formed by considering various factors such as gender, job title, career path, and field of work. They plan to operate by dividing them into 3 divisions (6 teams) including ▲organizational culture ▲work style ▲national perception.
On this day, the inauguration ceremony took place with Wingwing Co., Ltd., the representative company selected as the global commercial district creation team in April, touring the global commercial district located in downtown Daejeon and discussing the direction of development of alley commercial districts through the combination of various spaces and content.
Afterwards, the six teams presented their plans for innovation activities to be carried out throughout the year and listened to the participants' impressions of their participation, thereby strengthening their aspirations as the Innovation Avengers.
Kim Sung-seop, Vice Minister of SMEs and Startups, said, “It seems that the public service sector is becoming more flexible due to various government innovation activities, including the Avengers,” and added, “I hope that you will do your best so that efforts to innovate work practices and improve work methods within the organization can lead to changes in policy fields that the public can feel.”
