Unidocs Co., Ltd. (CEO Ki-Tae Jeong), an artificial intelligence (AI)-based electronic document solution company, announced on the 19th that it was finally selected as one of the first 'Innovation Premier 1000' companies for 2025, jointly hosted by 13 ministries including the Financial Services Commission.
'Innovation Premier 1000' is a system that selects 509 small and medium-sized companies with excellent innovation and growth potential and provides them with customized financial and non-financial support. Selected companies can receive various benefits, including preferential policy financing support and non-financial support such as consulting IR export support, issuance of Innovation Premier certificates, and special R&D and commercialization benefits by ministry until the end of 2026.
Unidocs was listed as an AI company among 128 innovative companies recommended by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Recently, Unidocs has been spurring technological advancement by conducting various AI-based R&D projects beyond electronic documents. It has been participating in autonomous driving technology development innovation projects since 2023, and is also conducting convergence technology projects such as dental medical technology R&D.
Key AI solutions include ezPDF CaptureAI, a PDF solution that utilizes deep learning-based AI OCR technology to help with effective data utilization of document materials, and sLLM ezMYAIDoctor, a healthcare Q&A specialized solution based on the LLaMa 3.1 8b model, which was also released to Hugging Face in October of last year.
A Unidocs official said, “This selection as the Innovation Premier 1000 is a meaningful achievement that has received national recognition for our electronic document and artificial intelligence technologies,” and added, “We will continue to advance AI-based technologies and grow into a company that leads the digital transformation era.”
