
Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Park Dae-hee, hereinafter referred to as Daejeon Innovation Center) held the inaugural general meeting of the 'Daejeon-Trust Innovation Challenge Investment Association No. 1' (hereinafter referred to as the Association) on the 24th and announced that it will discover, invest in, and support the growth of startups with excellent technologies.
This combination will be operated for the next five years with Daejeon Innovation Center and Trust Venture Investment Co., Ltd. participating as joint business execution partners. This combination will provide seed investment to early-stage startups with excellent local technologies, and will provide follow-up support in conjunction with joint business execution partners and related organizations, such as recommendations for TIPS programs, support for attracting follow-up investments, and support for global expansion, to help companies continue to grow.
Shin Dong-hyun, Vice President of Trust Venture Investment Co., Ltd., said, “Daejeon is a city with great potential for discovering and nurturing promising technology-based startups, as many universities and research institutes are located there.” He added, “Through this combination, we will proactively discover and invest in companies with high potential and contribute to revitalizing the startup ecosystem in the Daejeon region.”
Park Dae-hee, CEO of Daejeon Innovation Center, said, “We expect that public-private investment firms will work together to provide initial funding for excellent startups, and that this will go beyond simply resolving funding issues to create a Daejeon-style startup growth model that drives continuous growth through close acceleration of startups.”
