Smart farm specialist Green Plus Co., Ltd. announced on the 14th that it signed a contract with agricultural corporation Farm Farm for the construction of a smart farm glass greenhouse worth approximately 4.9 billion won. This contract is the fourth order following the third contract signed earlier this month, and construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of February 2025.
The project involves building a glass greenhouse measuring approximately 13,920㎡ (4,200 pyeong) in Nonsan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, and will be carried out for approximately 9 months from June 1, 2024. With this contract, Green Plus achieved new smart farm orders worth a total of more than 20 billion won in May alone. This is equivalent to approximately 45% of the annual smart farm sales of 45.5 billion won as of 2023, showing that orders have been significantly expanding in line with the government's recent smart farming promotion policy.
Based on the construction model of Green Plus, Pampam has already successfully operated the 1st and 2nd smart farm projects, and has proven its performance in terms of both productivity and quality through tomato cultivation. Based on these operational performances, additional orders were recently placed for the 3rd and 4th rounds, and this is attracting attention as a sustainable cooperation model between private agricultural corporations and smart farm construction companies.
Green Plus is a total solution provider covering design, construction, equipment, and production management in the domestic smart farm sector, and maintains a leading position in the industry. Recently, it has expanded the use of domestically produced parts and strengthened its own production system to simultaneously reduce costs and shorten delivery times. This strategy is evaluated to have a positive effect on enhancing competitiveness and expanding market share.
Jeong Sun-tae, CEO of Green Plus, said, “The collaboration with Pampam is part of a strategic partnership that goes beyond a simple construction relationship,” and added, “Through continuous technology development and quality improvement, we will provide smart farm solutions that meet the diverse needs of the government, local governments, private companies, and young farmers.”
