
Smart farm specialist Green Plus announced on the 13th that it had signed a youth smart farm contract worth 5.1 billion won in Gimje-si, Jeollabuk-do.
This contract is for a smart farm facility with an area of 14,545㎡ (4,400 pyeong) in Gwansang-ri, Cheongha-myeon, Gimje-si, Jeollabuk-do, aimed at growing ripe tomatoes.
Youth Smart Farm is the government's core smart farm expansion policy that is being implemented for farmers who have completed the smart farm innovation valley and regional rental smart farm education procedures established in local governments nationwide. Local governments where population decline is beginning to promote regional development and population inflow centered on smart farms.
In particular, as Green Plus has built most of the smart farm innovation valleys across the country, young farmers who graduated from the innovation valleys are naturally moving on to Green Plus’ smart farms.
We already have the largest youth smart farm construction performance in Korea, including in Sangju, Gyeongbuk, Naju, Jeollanam-do, and Boryeong, Chungcheongnam-do, and the proportion of B2C targeting actual farmers is increasing significantly in smart farm orders centered on B2B and B2G.
Jeong Sun-tae, CEO of Green Plus, said, “Currently, most of the domestic smart farm innovation valleys have been built by Green Plus,” and “The government is aiming to increase the proportion of smart farms to 20%, and our company is successfully targeting the B2C smart farm market by creating a stable startup foundation for young farmers and strengthening regional agricultural competitiveness.”
