The Robotics Wins at Japan Startup Pitching Contest

Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Park Dae-hee, hereinafter referred to as Daejeon Innovation Center) announced on the 8th that its incubation company The Robotics (CEO Kang Dong-woo) won the pitching competition held at 'Climbers Startup JAPAN EXPO 2025'.

'Climbers Startup JAPAN EXPO 2025' was held as part of the 'Global Strategy Hub Project' hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in cooperation with seven creative economy innovation centers across the country, and a total of 10 startups participated.

The Robotics won first place in the 'Dream Pitch Korean Startup Special Pitching Session' held at this exhibition, proving the excellence of Daejeon Innovation Center's startup global expansion program.

The final winner, Derrobotics, is a startup that manufactures the 'Botbox', the first autonomous driving-based road-following transport robot developed in Korea.

Botbox is gaining attention as an innovative product that tracks human movement to efficiently transport goods in outdoor environments such as agriculture and construction sites, and has the potential to contribute to improving productivity in industrial settings.

Since 2021, The Robotics has been strengthening its competitiveness by participating in the Daejeon Innovation Center's support projects such as the Daejeon Debridge Support Project, Social Impact Changers, Social Venture Startup Linkage Support Project, and Startup Korea Investment Week.

Park Dae-hee, CEO of Daejeon Innovation Center, said, “We expect that winning this competition will provide important opportunities for childcare companies to enter the Japanese market and expand their businesses,” and added, “We will continue to discover promising startups and expand our overseas cooperation network, and we will not spare any support for their successful global advancement.”
