K-Startup Securing Future Competitiveness Based on AI

As artificial intelligence (AI) impacts all industries, not only domestic companies but also leading global companies are actively seeking to secure future competitiveness based on AI.

In the research report titled 'Domestic Artificial Intelligence Analysis Market Outlook, 2023-2027' published in 2023, IDC Korea predicted that the domestic artificial intelligence market will grow 17.2% year-on-year in 2023, generating sales of KRW 2.6123 trillion. IDC also predicted that the domestic artificial intelligence market will grow at an average annual rate of 14.9% over the next five years, reaching KRW 4.4636 trillion in 2027.

Meanwhile, most companies are focusing on strengthening AI capabilities, which will be a matter of survival in the future, and securing AI technology and talent to lead the market, and are actively investing in collaborations and partnerships with startups with differentiated AI technologies.

Wonders Lab provides 'standard AI services' to support the work required by startups

Wonders Lab, a professional AI solution company for professionals, has developed a standard AI service model that supports tasks required by startups, such as documents, images, and content, as well as specialized tasks such as interior design and short-form dramas. Based on this, it conducts customization according to the needs of companies and supplies services as B2B.

The 'AI+Human Hybrid Work Service' model advocated by Wonders Lab goes beyond simple SaaS and is a structure in which AI and people collaborate within the entire work process to actually complete the task to increase work productivity. In fact, Wonders Lab has introduced various work AI solutions that can be used through subscription, such as the document work AI assistant 'Wdot', the image AI assistant 'Idot', and the SNS assistant 'Sdot'. Last year, it also launched 'Idot Interior', an AI concept design assistant specialized in the architecture and interior design fields.

Among them, Idot Interior is a solution that solves the inefficiency of the concept proposal stage, which is the biggest concern faced by architectural and interior designers. Previously, designers had no choice but to manually find reference images on Pinterest or Instagram and use them despite copyright concerns. In particular, it solved the chronic problem of the related industry that it was difficult to develop a concept by spending time and money at the consultation stage before the contract.

At the end of 2024, we developed a short-form drama scenario AI assistant, 'WonderStory', together with 'Insight Club', the largest domestic AI storytelling community. WonderStory by Wonders Lab is an AI assistant for professionals that has improved the limitations of existing subscription-based scenario AI. Unlike general dramas, short-form dramas have a small production budget and short production period, so an efficient production process is a key competitive edge. WonderStory has built-in prompts specialized for short-form drama production, allowing for effective use of the know-how and materials held by experts.

In the process of developing Wonder Story, Wonders Lab actively reflected the needs of the field through collaboration with Insight Club, which has a community of content experts such as writers, directors, and PDs. As a result, it is now possible to provide customized solutions according to the user's area of expertise, such as production companies, platforms, and writers. Through this, each expert can efficiently write a scenario by combining their creative capabilities with AI.

Earlier this year, it was selected for the '2025 Emerging AI+X TOP 100 (hereinafter referred to as Emerging AI+X TOP 100)' hosted by the Korea Artificial Intelligence Industry Association. Hosted by the Korea Artificial Intelligence Industry Association since 2020, the Emerging AI+X TOP 100 is a project to discover promising AI companies that have proven growth potential, innovation, and future value in various fields based on AI technology.

Here, it achieved the highest score of 93.7 points in the SimpleQA Benchmark (hereinafter referred to as SimpleQA). This is the highest score among AI search engines and LLMs of the same series, showing that the factual accuracy and reliability of the answers provided by Liner have an overwhelming competitive advantage in the global market.

◆ 'Sunday', the AI-based 3rd generation reputation search platform leading the recruitment market

Good Enough Place Co., Ltd., which introduced the AI-based 3rd generation reputation search platform 'Sunday' last February, has emerged as a hot topic in the industry by bringing a breath of fresh air to the rapidly changing recruitment market.

Sunday was born to fit the market environment where the role of 'reputation inquiry', which is a verification process that judges the actual work ability and organizational fit of job seekers, is becoming more important, as well as the recruitment structure centered on career positions. It is a platform that goes beyond the 1st and 2nd generation recruitment platforms that only have simple recruitment linkage and unreliable services, and secures big data by verifying data and referees (reputation writers) based on AI, and through this, applicants can efficiently manage their reputations and convey them to companies.

Jang Rae-min, CEO of Good Enough Place, is leading the recruitment market based on AI technology, with the goal of creating a 'Win-Win' platform that connects applicants and companies so that they can be of help to one another.

In fact, Sunday has been equipped with AI technology after more than two years of preparation. Sunday has solved the information reliability problem of existing reputation search companies with its AI-based third-generation reputation search platform. According to CEO Jang Rae-min, Sunday's unique AI-based verification technology, 'AI + HI Hybrid Cross-Verification System', and AI filtering system based on the 'Median-based Aggregation Technique' theory can provide information with 42-52% higher reliability than existing companies. In addition, reliability was increased with a hybrid method that cross-verifies AI's biased algorithm judgment problem with hi (human intelligence).

Sunday's AI verification system consists of a total of 6 stages. In the first stage, a large number of evaluation data is secured through the industry's first referee compensation system. This is a task to reduce the possibility of bias in single or small number of evaluations and increase the level of trust. In the second stage, primary profiling is conducted based on the secured large number of data, and in the third stage, information that does not match the profile is filtered and removed. The fourth stage verifies the consistency and trustworthiness of the data selected after filtering.

Step 5 is secondary profiling. The applicant's capabilities and characteristics are analyzed more precisely than in the first profiling, and the final 6-step evaluation stage is conducted based on this. Sunday evaluates each piece of information based on five criteria, including data and referee reliability, and secondary profile suitability, and delivers the information with the highest rank to the company.

In addition, Sunday is not satisfied with the current service and is actively pursuing service improvement and advancement. For example, it is developing a function that helps referees write reputation reports more easily by utilizing AI technology, and a 'small chatting' function between companies and referees.
