Weave to participate in '2025 Touch Taiwan'

From April 24th, Weave participated in the display industry exhibition '2025 Touch Taiwan' held in Taiwan and unveiled its micro LED inspection equipment, 'Bandi'. This exhibition is a representative display exhibition in East Asia and was a place to showcase the latest innovations related to micro LED, OLED, and next-generation display technology.

'Bandi' is a device that provides a defect inspection function in the entire process of manufacturing micro LEDs, and can precisely check the appearance, color, luminescence form, and intensity of LED elements by utilizing photoluminescence (PL) analysis technology. In addition, it can also inspect the quality of wafers, which are LED materials, and plays an important role in identifying defects that may occur in the manufacturing process in advance. Photoluminescence analysis is a technology that identifies material properties by utilizing the phenomenon in which semiconductors and some nanomaterials absorb light energy and then emit light of a specific wavelength and brightness.

Touch Taiwan is an annual event held in Taiwan, an exhibition covering Micro LED, OLED, and the latest display materials and equipment. This year, over 300 companies participated and shared their latest technologies. In particular, major display manufacturers such as AU Optronics and Innolux participated and showcased their technological prowess.

“The Asian LED industry, led by Korea and Taiwan, is developing rapidly and is now leading global technology trends,” said Weve CEO Joo Sung-bin. “We will also use this exhibition as an opportunity to expand opportunities for collaboration with major Asian companies.”

Weave's micro LED inspection equipment, 'Bandi', was introduced as a global representative company in the PL inspection technology field, along with Toray and Hamamatsu, in the '2024 Micro LED Technology, Equipment and Manufacturing Report' published by market research firm Yole Intelligence in 2024. Yole Intelligence evaluated 'Bandi' as "next-generation inspection equipment that satisfies both high resolution and fast inspection speed in the micro LED inspection field."
